501c3 nonprofit horse sanctuary & learning center has opportunities for volunteers, interns, employees

Feeding & caring for 17 horses (most are rescued horses and have special feeding plans; several need to stay on soft ground only, other special circumstances, etc.); putting them in their stalls at grain time, noticing if they have lameness or colic issues, cleaning stalls, cleaning pens & feeding areas, etc. other possibilities: driving tractors, maintaining riding arenas and other grounds, snow removal, lawn mowing, helping with our horsemanship program, riding/developing the horses that need further training. there are a couple of other chore helpers around most days. This can be paid, volunteer, internship, etc. hours/days flexible. 40 hrs/week possible. Or just a shift here and there. We are 501c3 nonprofit; help is greatly appreciated.
